Star Nicholas - Logical chalk is turning back in distance and getting class relief for this; fires late for the Mig.
Free Up Grade - Has every right to improve in his second career start for Doug O'Neill; like that Bejarano takes the call.
Long Shot - Hold This
Race 2 - 7 furlongs, Purse $11,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Abbey Cat - Hate the rail post but like the rider switch to Clinton Potts; she has a lot of back class to rely upon.
Queen of the Derby - Tepid chalk draws a favorable post for this elongated sprint; tactical speed to be forwardly placed.
Long Shot - Drastic Tactics
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Topaz Moon - Tepid chalk was a beaten favorite in last off a 4-month hiatus; she figures to be a lot tighter for this.
E Bee Girl - OK try in first start for the Mark Molina barn; he hires Corey Nakatani who has won races for him in the past.
Long Shot - Overt N Out
Race 4 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $36,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Potential - Brian Koriner loses his rider Gryder to Sacred Light; replacement Rafael Bejarano should do in this spot.
Rocky Road - Speedball will appreciate the temperary turf rail out 15 feet; class drop and second start off the layoff help.
Long Shot - Sacred Light
Race 5 - 7 1/2 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 4-year-olds and up
Tropic Storm - This is a stakes sprinter who is still eligible for a lot of conditions; Craig Dollase taking his time.
No Dream - Richard Mandella offers class relief in this colt's first try over Cushion track; Corey Nakatani will rally.
Long Shot - Cesc
Race 6 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
Adhere - Did everything but win last time under Chantal Sutherland; Michael Baze takes over, flattered by a key race result.
Near Sighted - Claimed by Art Sherman at Bay Meadows, makes his SoCal debut; solid win off the claim percentage for the barn.
Long Shot - Carmens Excess
Race 7 - 1 1/2 miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse 53,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Cedar Mountain - Has a ton of potential, but needs to start showing it; Neil Drysdale hasn't given up, nor has Bejarano.
Super Strut - Too many close losses are wearing thin on bettors; still he's tough as hickory and keeps coming back for more.
Long Shot - Soupy
Race 8 - 7 furlongs, Purse $11,000, Claiming $8,000, 4-year-olds and up
Si Chimi - Beaten favorite was stuck down on a slower rail last time out; draws outside and could see a lot better trip.
Arroyo Trabuco - Speed killed last time and Jose Valdivia has to know that; this longer race should lead to a slower pace.
