Post Time 1:20 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $36,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Gallardo - Beaten chalk had a good trip in last, but failed to fire; claimed by Brian Koriner, Rafael Bejarano stays loyal.
Sensational Score - Upset winner won in a manner suggesting he can do it again; when Sadler gets them good, they stay good.
Long Shot - Nice Bet
Race 2 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $51,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds
Doneitagain - Claimed by Jose DeLima and spotted back with familiar foes; good value at 6/1 odds while chasing Topper Shopper.
Topper Shopper - Beat Doneitagain last time with a power rail trip; suspect he'll try the same tactics, catch me if you can.
Long Shot - Red Redding
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Halo's Clean Sheet - Claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; good sign that Bejarano likes her enough to take the call.
Molitta - Ran well in debut sprint, albeit for a claiming price; still, this is a modest field and she could really improve.
Long Shot - Violet Sky
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
Cactus Lighting - He broke his maiden over Hollywood Cushion track last fall; been knocking at the door, maybe this time.
Scott's Poppy - Big class drop and major connections of Mike Mitchell and Rafael Bejarano; chalk figures to be awful tough.
Long Shot - Peace Accord
Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
Benchmark Kid - Tactical speed to sit a perfect trip; like the subtle turn back in distance, be along in time.
High Investment - He is 0-for-15 but keeps being a part of the gimmick; Corey Nakatani remains loyal, which tactic today.
Long Shot - Warren's Moonkross
Race 6 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $22,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Self Insured - Been sliding down the claiming ladder to face this very slow group; like that Rafael Bejarano takes the call.
Knighthood - Makes his third start off a 8-month sabbatical; Carla Gaines isn't winning at the same rate as SA, but she's live.
Long Shot - Tizmet
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 20 feet), $65,000 Long Beach, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
I Can See - Gets big time class relief from grade 2 stakes for this restricted race; she offers a lot of value at 5/1 odds.
Wake Up Maggie - Either wasn't tight enough, or was ridden poorly, when a no chance third in U.S. debut; switch to Talamo.
Long Shot - Spenditallbaby
Race 8 - 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Fillies. 2-year-olds
Dulce Maria - Wesley Ward filly takes the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claimng; adds blinkers on today.
Call Aly - Logical chalk ran well enough to win this class last time; note he was more than 2-lengths clear of third.
Long Shot - Steam Iron
Best Bet - Cactus Lighting (race 4)
