TODAY AT SANTA ANITA PARK

Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $57,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
Vespucci - French import from the powerful Juddmonte Farm; Frankel puts him in good hands with Bejarano, first time Lasix.
Don't Ya Lovett - Was a tip horse from the moment he left his barn on the walkover; looked like a winner but faded late.
Long Shot - Tropic Storm
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $57,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds
Signature Move - Has shown lots of potential in his two career starts; don't believe he needs the lead to succeed.
Pistol Pete Afleet - Dead late closer will sit in arrears and try to do his best in the lane; could see a very fast pace.
Long Shot - Professnl Courtesy
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up
Pt's Grey Eagle - Was at least 5-wide around the turn, yet rallied in the lane; moves inside as a sprinter stretching out.
Tolnai - Speedy sort continued sliding down the claiming ladder to this bottom level; will race with a target on his back.
Long Shot - Plan for Fun
Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $36,000, Maiden claiming $100,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Rail Dancer - Taking a big class drop from MSW to this high maiden claiming level; tactical speed to sit a good trip.
Luck Be a Lily - FTS from the highly respected Gilchrist barn; been training in NoCal, note Smith is 2-for-2 with the barn.
Long Shot - Briecat
Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $16,000, 4-year-olds
Ymustichasethecat - Draw a line thru his last debacle and he's won 4-of-5 recent starts; like the placement by Eurton.
Mellow Cammie - Dead late closer is actually moving up in class from a NW2L for this; still the race shape suits him fine.
Long Shot - Band of Thunder
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Renagade Ruby - Slight edge due to a very promising debut effort for Canani; if she improves a step, she'll be awful tough.
Gentle Gale - FTS from the Frankel barn has the looks of another good one; debuts with Lasix and the main man Bejarano.
Long Shot - Miss Cozy Cat
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $61,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 4-year-olds and up
Fly Dorcego - Turns back in distance, I suspect he'll be better as a late closing sprinter; should see plenty of early pace.
Silver Stetson Man - Gets big time class relief from the grade 1 Malibu to this; figures to be tighter in this start too.
Long Shot - Relato Del Gato
Race 8 - 6 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Unbidable - Exits a Turf Paradise stakes, so this is a class drop; by now you'll know how the rain is affecting the track.
Remember Seattle - Speedball did a pop and stop last time; Knight takes the blinkers off, chance for major improvement.
Long Shot - Ax Me a Question
Best Bet - Fly Dorcego (race 7)
