Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds
Candy's Bro - Hollendorfer is convinced his true value is in the discount bin; should be tough to beat.
Exactly - Outran his high odds in last, now a switch to Flores for the money shot; best stride comes late.
Long Shot - Wineshine
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $21,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds
Clear the Hall - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; could wake up here.
The Royals Court - Started slow, finished fast in last two tries; need to get him to start a step quicker.
Long Shot - Higher Point
Race 3 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Miss Cozy Cat - When Gomez rides for a low percentage barn, the flag is up; figures to be a fairly short price.
Felicitee - Among many with their training regimen interrupted at SA; speedy sort should be tight enough for this.
Long Shot - Gentle Gale
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $16,000, 4-year-olds and up
Aggressive - Useful sort was given a 7-weeks freshening; Mullins drops this 11-YO into a very winable spot.
Trail Mix - Gets class relief after losing to tougher as a beaten favorite; speed to lead or follow close up.
Long Shot - Monarcho Polo
Race 5 - 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Skylighter - Making her turf debut, but has ran well in two Cushion Track starts; Gomez for the money shot.
General Consensus - Was done in chasing a dawdling pace set by Wickednwackyingrid; can close into faster fractions.
Long Shot - Royal Humor
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Warren's Adventure - Slight choice in a very wide open grass race; sharpened out of a quickly run sprint race.
Gold On Gossamer - Barely ran a step last time off the claim by O'Neill; he triple drops her in class to compete.
Long Shot - Wildout
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $44,000, Claiming $50,000, 4-year-olds and up
Midwesterner - First time down the hill for this beaten chalk; I like his running style with today's pace scenario.
Miller's Turbo - O'Neill barn is heating up despite the SA interruption in training; tactical speed to sit a trip.
Long Shot - Faulkwood Shores
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $63,000, Optional claiming $100,000, 4-year-olds and up
Les Grand Trois - Frankel charge fell flat on his face in the Malibu; should bounce back nicely with class relief.
Street Boss - Typical patience shown by Bruce Headley to develop nice horses; colt may be ready to show his stuff.
Long Shot - Tontine Too
Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Timocracy - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; main question is a 10-month layoff.
Mountains of Green - Ran a miserable race as the favorite in last; suspect he's faster than that and could rebound.
Long Shot - Premier Won
Best Bet - Skylighter (race 5)
Santa Anita Monday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/3/$12.80; Long Shots, 8/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
Santa Anita Totals - 426/102/$722.60; Long Shots, 219/31/$387.20; Best Bets, 25/10/$43.
