Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 mile, Purse $22,000, Claiming $16,000, 4-year-olds
Tour Da Bronx - This is a real Wal-Mart race, all the claiming prices are dropping; Mitchell charge need not be much to win.
The Supply Program - Draws the advantageous rail post for a mile 2-turn route; short run to the first turn is a benefit.
Long Shot - Larry by the Lake
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $29,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
McClees Creek - Gomez riding first call for Todd Pletcher and the barn has been heating up; big class drop from MSW to this.
Boowoogeemalia - Good horses usually have good sounding names; O'Neill drops her in class again in search of victory.
Long Shot - Sheza Maneater
Race 3 - 7 furlongs, Purse $34,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies, 4-year-olds
Lucky Rylie - Looks to be a short price facing a nondescript field; the class relief should be enough to get her photo taken.
Back in the Saddle - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this new low level; her race two back is fast enough to upset.
Long Shot - Warren's Adventure
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Felicitee - Flattered when Moujane won her next start facing winners; rail out 30 feet will really help her early speed.
Gentle Gale - Frankel babies typically improve a lot second time out; another flattered by Moujane's win over the weekend.
Long Shot - Elusive Melody
Race 5 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
O Bee Naki - Court needs to use his head riding this mare; there is so much early speed, if he sits and pounces, he'll win.
Kreeker - Long shot has shown some propensity for closing late when cheap races fall apart; figures to be any kind of price.
Long Shot - Ann's Plan
Race 6 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $61,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Ms. Wonder Woman - Speedball will love the turf rail out 30 feet; suspect all will allow her to set her own pace, dangerous.
Italian Girl - European invader from Todd Pletcher, she's like a box of chocolates today; first time Lasix and Gomez.
Long Shot - Ainamaa
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $63,000, Optional claiming $100,000, 4-year-olds and up
Doppio - He's not the classiest horse in the field, but lately the most consistent; has been a killer on synthetic surfaces.
Soul City Slew - Logical chalk getting major class relief from graded stakes; interesting trainer switch to O'Neill.
Long Shot - Sailors Sunset
Race 8 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Sting'n Inthe Rain - In a hodge podge type race like this, you could do worse than bet on Mike Mitchell; watch the tote.
Summer Mischief - Been away 16-months when vanned off in her career debut; has worked bullets for this and gets Nakatani.
Long Shot - Precession
Best Bet - Lucky Rylie (race 3)
Santa Anita Sunday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 18/7/$36.80; Long Shots, 9/2/$22.40; Best Bet, 1/1/$3.00
Santa Anita Totals - 803/183/$1,337.80; Long Shots, 397/56/$698.00; Best Bets, 44/14/$59.60
