Race 1 - 5 furlongs (turf), purse $63,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Tizfiz - Ran miserably last time, but her two races before that were very good; chance to rebound at a square price.
Eagle Island - Superb MSW win, now stepping up to face winners for the first time; is bred to a truly special.
Long Shot - Itsallgreektou
Race 2 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Six Again - This sure looks like a cold quinella between the two favorites; it's not that they're fast, the rest are slow.
Set for Combat - Headley finally got off the synthetic surface schneid; this after I mentioned him in my Friday column.
Long Shot - Sumatra's Hope
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $46,000, Claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Mashina - Slight edge in a very difficult turf route; Talamo had choices and ends up riding her for Mulhall.
Feel Ridge - Tepid chalk ran well last time while facing slightly tougher; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot - Categorize
Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Protectorofallevil - Claimed by Hess, if he moves him forward a step he can win; adding blinkers on and new rider Smith.
Capi and Max - Ran well in his career debut, now Periban is adding blinkers on; tepid chalk because many in here can't run.
Long Shot - Reflex
Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
Peace Accord - Claimed in four consecutive races, there must be something the trainers see; offers value at 6/1 odds.
Areutrue - Tepid chalk in a wide open race; tough DQ from third in last, still it was a move forward into this spot.
Long Shot - Run Forest Run
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $53,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
Their He Goes - Ran well last time off a 9-month hiatus; if he moves forward for Sadler, he could provide a small upset.
Cherokee Tear - Hard to believe that Baffert is a low percentage trainer at this meet; this colt can make amends today.
Long Shot - Steamboat Bay
Race 7 - 7 furlongs, Purse $59,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
Blowout - Aptly named horse blew a flat tire last time at 3/5 odds; he's better than that, Nakatani remains loyal, revenge.
Barbeque Eddie - If Their He Goes wins the sixth race, it'll flatter this guy; one of the few wire to wire Polytrack winners.
Long Shot - Pick Vic
Race 8 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), $400,000 Del Mar Oaks, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Rutherienne - Clement is one of the best trainers in America, but many don't know it; this filly is sure to be a handful.
Valbenny - Logical chalk was an unlucky loser last time when she got a bumpy ride; that'll happen when you rally from last.
Long Shot - Supposition
Race 9 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $42,000, Claiming $32,000, 4-year-olds and up
Megabyte - Ran just awful last time, but he's a lot better than that; key is leading rider Baze takes the call for Mitchell.

Long Shot - City Stormer
Best Bet - Blowout (race 7)
Del Mar Friday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/3/$22.80; Long Shots, 7/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
