Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $14,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds
Conclave - Back class gelding has relished the reduced level of competition lately; Mitchell keeping him sharp as a tack.
Thunder One - Was claimed for $40k and has now reached the bargain price tag of $10k; speed to be a nuisance throughout.
Long Shot - Somthintomakimrun
Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 2-year-olds
Coronas At Delmar - Second best last time facing similar class foes; tactical speed to lead or follow close up.
Concinnity - Ran evenly in debut at 82/1 odds; key for me is he's exiting a key race, so he lost to next out winners.
Long Shot - Seattle G
Race 3 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds
Kalgoorlie - Sight unseen since the UAE Guineas 9-months ago; just the fact he chased Asiatic Boy shows he was in tough.
Sir Lowry - Taking a big class rise facing winners for the first time; Frankel stays loyal to Blanc, an underrated rider.
Long Shot - Monterey Jazz
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Distorted Passion - Ran great in debut for Mullins; most of his babies improve with racing, thus she could be double tough.
Twelve Twenty Two - Got a perfect pace scenario last time out, and still couldn't collar the leaders; too soon to give up.
Long Shot - Dear Isabella
Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Optional claiming $100,000, 3-year-olds and up
Silver Stetson Man - Unbeaten Baffert colt may be bound someday for the 2008 BC Sprint; he's learning his lessons well.
Ever a Friend - Eastern presence from Clement barn is a very good thing; Gomez won on him at Saratoga so they are familiar.
Long Shot - Soul City Slew
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
Zetterberg - Second best two times in a row, he gets more distance today to get the job done; he may need blinkers on next.
Signature Move - FTS from the overachieving Guillot barn; beautiful pedigree by sire Vindication, colt looks like a runner.
Long Shot - Wind's Legacy
Race 7 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $26,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Dr. Einstein - Among many class droppers today, like his tactical speed to sit a nice trip; he is winless over synthetic.
Desert Sea - Nothing to lose dropping him for $25k as he was claimed for $32k three races back; this spot they need to win.
Long Shot - I Beat the Fire
Race 8 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), $65,000 Audrey Skirball-Kenis, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Tizfiz - Mandella isn't prepping here, he wants to win to see what kind of filly he's got; bred for stamina, grass too.
Hucking Hot - Been away 8-months, but gets the services of Gomez so be fearful; race is certainly a prep for bigger fish.
Long Shot - Model
Race 9 - 7 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
Cavanaugh - Ran determinedly in last facing open company $62.5k claimers; these state-breds are a much easier group.
De Car Guy - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; like Hess putting the blinkers on for this.
Long Shot - Simulcast
Best Bet - Conclave (race 1)
Hollywood Thursday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/3/$24.80; Long Shots, 8/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
Hollywood Totals - 32/7/$43.80; Long Shots, 16/3/$33.60; Best Bets, 2/1/$2.80
