Post Time 11 a.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $54,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Mezuzah - Appears to be the most talented distance winner in the field; Frankel will give a lot of business to Bejarano.
Placid Lake - Accomplished grass sprinter will now try to stretch out around 2-turns; guess who will have the early lead.
Long Shot - Delicate Cat
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $44,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Song Cat - Just missed last time in a strong 2-turn effort; tactical speed to sit close to the pace, grinds it out late.
Santa Teresita - Tepid favorite in a wide open race; late rider change to Michael Baze signals intent of Hofmans.
Long Shot - Only First Class
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 20 feet), Purse $48,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
Cherokee Heaven - Looked like an entirely different animal when switched to turf in last; blasted off with a late burst.
American Imperium - Grinder figures to get overlooked with others looking more exciting; like the positive rider switch.
Long Shot - Bronzino
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Stitchit - Takes a small, but significant, class drop to face a suspect field; like that Bejarano is taking the call.
In Daddy's Honor - Tepid chalk in another wide open race; every Mitchell horse so far this meet has been live.
Long Shot - Renees Beauty
Race 5 - 7 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Curvey Star - Got a test drive in her SoCal debut, expect the brakes to be off today; Bejarano again for the money shot.
Lower the Rate - Could be on a lone lead which would make her more dangerous; you'll know by now if the track favors speed.
Long Shot - Beulah Land
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Morgan Lane - Ran into a lot of trouble last time, better racing luck can lead to a win; like the turn back in distance.
Felicitee - Started slow, finished fast, in a better than looked debut; may get overlooked and go off at a square price.
Long Shot - Hilogold
Race 7 - 7 furlongs, $100,000 Hollywood Prevue, 2-year-olds
Massive Drama - This colt ran a courageous race at Monmouth despite not liking the mud; it's worth Kent D coming to SoCal.
Meal Penalty - Pletcher colt is 2-for-2 wins albeit versus suspect foes; he has the pedigree to be a decent sort of horse.
Long Shot - Larrys Revenge
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Claiming $10,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
McNasty - Ran a much improved race last time and could be sitting on a win; has more than enough back class to produce.
High Command - Mullins is off to a sharp start at Hollywood over his home track; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot - Trail Mix
Best Bet - Morgan Lane (race 6)
Hollywood Wednesday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 14/2/$11.60; Long Shots, 8/1/$8.60; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
Hollywood Totals - 180/38/$244.20; Long Shots, 91/15/$167.00; Best Bets, 11/4/$13.80
