Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $32,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Bartok's Bling - The power of Gomez in a tiny field for the opener; has shown improvement since claimed by Shulman.
Aunt Pink - Big rider switch to power jockey Nakatani for the money shot; he figures to give Gomez all he can handle.
Long Shot - Rocket Kitty
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
Turkish Victory - Draw a line thru his last race and his form looks a lot better; switching from turf to Cushion track.
Lonely Highway - Claimed by Mullins after underachieving for Gallagher; had three works since and could easily improve.
Long Shot - Logo
Race 3 - 7 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Claiming $25,000, 2-year-olds
Good Man Dan - O'Neill dropping this colt down in class to a winable spot; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Warrens Flyin High - Like the P Val angle and adding blinkers on; gets big time class relief and offers some value.
Long Shot - Transvaal Scottish
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $14,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
O Bee Naki - Continues to win and is not ambitiously placed in a subtle class rise; has flourished over synthetic surfaces.
Bold Cleo - Logical chalk off a major class drop for this; his Emerald form is good, good enough to hold up in SoCal.
Long Shot - High Speed Goldie
Race 5 - 7 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
B R's Girl - Barn switch from Sadler to Pletcher is not as big a deal as using Gomez; blinkers off, expect a lot better.
Twelve Twenty Two - Well bet in all three career starts, this is a good spot for her to graduate; better as a closer?
Long Shot - Wicked Delight
Race 6 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $54,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Angel Craft - She is a much better filly on grass than dirt or synthetic; may catch a wide trip, Talamo must sneak inside.
She's an Eleven - Gomez on a 8/1 long shot does not translate here; she has a big shot to upset and will be lower odds.
Long Shot - Indescribable
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
Oceanography - Frankel colt debuted in a very difficult Keeneland MSW; if he improves a step, quite likely, just look out.
Banner Lodge - Finished fast in his second start off a 3-month hiatus; Gomez remains loyal, and the Sadler barn is hot.
Long Shot - Just Julian
Race 8 - 1 1/16th miles (turf), $150,000 Dahlia, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Black Mamba - If you're going to beat the chalk, now is the time; filly could be a major factor in 2008 in her division.
Citronnade - The logical chalk has taken time off due to various minor problems; she is most vulnerable first time back.
Long Shot - Meribel
Race 9 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Capture the Cat - Conlon claim blistered on the front end and predictably collapsed late; switch to Talamo and patience.
Phoebe's Song - Tepid chalk was dropped in class and then flew home too little, too late; she has more speed than that.
Long Shot - Hey Beautiful
Race 10 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds and up
Warren's Honey - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; adding blinkers on, expect more speed.
Mud Sweat 'n Tears - Second start for Sherman and Bejarano team; was well bet in debut, could easily improve today.
Long Shot - Song of Illinois
Best Bet - B R's Girl (race 5)
