Hot-shooting Utah State tops UNR

LOGAN, Utah -- Jaycee Carroll scored 24 points and Gary Wilkinson had a career-high 23 to lead Utah State past UNR

77-63 Saturday night.

Tai Wesley added 14 points and Wilkinson 10 rebounds for the Aggies (16-6, 6-1 Western Athletic Conference).

Marcelus Kemp had 16 points and JaVale McGee 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Wolf Pack (13-8, 5-3).

UNR shot 1-for-8 on 3-point attempts in the second half and 6-for-18 for the game.

The Aggies shot 68 percent from the field in the first half, while UNR shot 43 percent, 39 percent for the game.
