Hunt powers UNR to WAC win
RENO -- Dario Hunt had 16 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, and Malik Story also scored 16 to lift UNR to an 89-69 victory over San Jose State on Saturday.
Jerry Evans Jr. added 11 points and Olek Czyz 10 for the Wolf Pack (9-14, 6-4 Western Athletic Conference).
UNR controlled the game throughout, hitting 10 of its first 13 shots and building a 35-17 lead late in the first half.
A basket by Adrian Oliver to open the second half pulled the Spartans to within seven points, but they got no closer.
Oliver scored 25 points, Keith Shamburger 16 and Justin Graham 14 for San Jose State (11-11, 3-8).
UNR shot 51.8 percent (29 of 56) , compared to the Spartans' 39.1 (25 of 64).
