Hawaii QB Alexander lost for rest of season
Hawaii quarterback Greg Alexander will miss the rest of the season after injuring his left knee Wednesday in a loss at Louisiana Tech.
The school said Alexander will have surgery today to repair "major ligament damage."
Entering the Louisiana Tech game, the senior led the nation in total offense (446 yards) and ranked second in passing (411.3 yards).
Alexander threw for 199 yards and two interceptions before being knocked out of the game late in the third quarter. After scrambling out of the pocket, Alexander took a jarring hit from Adrien Cole near the sideline.

The 6-foot-8-inch Martin, a transfer from Purdue expected to start after sitting last season, injured the knee Thursday during a preseason workout when he drove into the lane and crumpled to the court, coach Mike Brey said.
The Irish had been counting on Martin to provide an offensive spark. Brey has called Martin "one of the most gifted offensive guys" he has had in his time at Notre Dame.
Forward Jenna Larkin scored the winning goal with 38 seconds left as the UNLV women's soccer team beat Seattle 2-1 in the San Diego State Classic.
Katherine Orellana also scored for the Rebels (4-3-4).

Chicago man arrested in Andrews video case
A Chicago-area man accused of taking surreptitious nude videos of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews in a hotel room was arrested at Chicago's O'Hare airport, the FBI said in a statement.
Michael David Barrett, 48, faces federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos, posting the videos online and trying to sell them to celebrity Web site TMZ.com, the FBI said. He's scheduled to make an initial court appearance today in U.S. District Court in Chicago.
The charges were filed in Los Angeles, where TMZ.com is based. Andrews is identified in the federal complaint as E.A.
Barrett, of Westmont, Ill., was arrested after returning from a trip to Buffalo, N.Y., authorities said.
Seven of the eight videos posted online were taken through a modified door peephole while Andrews was alone and undressed in hotel rooms in Nashville, Tenn., in September 2008. Investigators think the eighth video was taken in a hotel in Milwaukee in July 2008.
