Robby Gordon declared winner of SCORE race
NASCAR regular Robby Gordon's decision to skip the Sprint Cup race Saturday in Richmond, Va., to compete in the SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 paid off Sunday when official results declared him the overall winner in the desert race south of Las Vegas.
The 276-mile race concluded behind Buffalo Bill's in Primm on Saturday evening, with Las Vegan Rob MacCachren leading Gordon by about 11 minutes, but that was before computer data was reviewed and penalties were added for speeding in restricted areas.
The final audit moved Gordon ahead of MacCachren by about 1 minute to give Gordon the overall and SCORE Trophy-Truck titles.
