Atlanta police make arrest in Forrest death
Atlanta police say they have charged a 20-year-old man in the death of former boxing champion Vernon Forrest.
Lt. Keith Meadows said Tuesday that Demario Ware of Atlanta also has been charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery. Forrest, 38, was shot to death July 25.
Police say Ware is responsible for the robbery but was not the triggerman. He is expected to have a bond hearing today.
Police say they are looking for the shooter and at least two others. Police say Forrest was shot several times after he chased men who robbed him of his championship ring and Rolex watch.

F1 driver Massa sent home to recuperate
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa left a hospital and returned home for the first time since a life-threatening crash in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix 10 days earlier.
Doctors re-evaluated the driver's condition and concluded there was no need to keep the 28-year-old Brazilian in the hospital.
Massa arrived in Brazil on Monday after nine days at the AEK military hospital in Budapest, where he underwent surgery on multiple skull fractures sustained when he was hit in the helmet by a loose part from another car and crashed into a protective tire barrier in qualifying for the Hungarian GP.
Doctors did not make any predictions on when the driver could get back on the track.

Rangers balk at figure, let Zherdev walk away
The New York Rangers are making young forward Nikolai Zherdev an unrestricted free agent after walking away from the $3.9 million arbitration award he was given.
The Rangers had until Tuesday to accept the figure or let him go. Zherdev reportedly sought $4.5 million in arbitration after the Rangers made a $3.25 million qualifying offer.
"With the additions we've been able to make this summer, we feel we've been able to add scoring and offense from the wing position," general manager Glen Sather said in a statement.
Zherdev, 24, played in all 82 games last season, his only one with the Rangers, and had 23 goals and 35 assists for 58 points -- second on the team to Nik Antropov, who came from Toronto at the trade deadline.

The Sharks have scheduled a news conference in which Roenick will make an announcement. The nine-time All-Star has scored 1,216 points, third most among American-born players in NHL history.
The Ottawa Senators are rewarding goalie Brian Elliott for his fine rookie season by giving him a two-year contract.

It is the first doping case of the 2009 Tour.
"I know that I have not taken any prohibited substance and I say so emphatically," Astarloza said. "Whatever it takes, I'm going to discover how this supposed positive result happened.
