Romo gets starring role in online video spoof
Meet Tony Romo, jokester.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is starring in an online video spoof, endorsing a few toungue-in-cheek items.
The video, which can be seen at funnyordie.com, opens with Romo alone on a football field, in a shirt and a cap with the logo of one of his real sponsors, Starter. He says you might not have realized he endorses some "50,000" products -- including gasoline that tastes like chocolate and vice versa.
Romo also pokes fun at the tabloids that have covered his love life, including his relationship with Jessica Simpson.
Also: The Washington Redskins selected Kentucky defensive end Jeremy Jarmon in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft Thursday.
Prosecutors say they expect to refile a felony drug charge against Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly Jr. after dropping the case.
The 26-year-old had been set for trial today. He was arrested in July 2008 in Houston for allegedly having at least 200 grams of codeine.
Graham Harrell is headed to the Canadian Football League. The record-setting Texas Tech quarterback signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Services are set Monday for Pat Brady, a UNR Hall of Famer who punted for the Wolf Pack and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1950s.
Brady died Tuesday at age 83 after a battle with lymphoma.

New Blackhawks get a taste of Chicago
The first welcome for two of the newest Blackhawks, Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky, came on the way to the United Center. They got stuck in Chicago traffic.
That's how it gets sometimes in their new city. Actually, it has been hectic around their new team all week. The man who lured Hossa and Kopecky to town, Dale Tallon, was ousted as general manager three days ago and replaced by Stan Bowman.
Tallon is staying on as an adviser after getting a two-year contract extension.
Hossa signed a 12-year, $62.8 million contract as a free agent, joining his fourth team in three seasons. He led Detroit with 40 goals last season and helped it beat the Blackhawks in the Western Conference finals.
Also: Wayne Gretzky has agreed to give a deposition in the fight in U.S. Bankruptcy Court over who will own the Phoenix Coyotes and where the team will play.
The former hockey standout, who coaches the team and owns a small share of it, reached an agreement with the city of Glendale over the deposition and the sharing of documents.

Jazz to match Blazer's offer, retain Millsap
Utah is going to hang on to forward Paul Millsap.
The Jazz said on their Web site that they plan to match Portland's offer to Millsap, a restricted free agent. Today is the last day Utah can match the $32 million deal that includes $10.3 million up front.
Millsap averaged 13.5 points and 8.6 rebounds last season, playing mostly as a reserve.
Also: Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn says basketball coach Jeff Bzdelik had a "casual" conversation with the Minnesota Timberwolves about their head coaching job.
Bzdelik was the Denver Nuggets' coach for 2002-03 and was fired midway through 2004-05.
Forward Ersan Ilyasova, a second-round draft pick in 2005, is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks after playing the past two seasons for Regal FC Barcelona in Spain.
Formula One team Toro Rosso has fired driver Sebastien Bourdais.
Bourdais won Champ Car races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2004 and 2005.
Trainer Steve Asmussen has been suspended for six months after one of his horses tested positive for a local anesthetic last year.
