Linebacker Taylor returns to Dolphins
Linebacker Jason Taylor's newest step has him back where he started. The dancing linebacker signed a $1.5 million, one-year contract Wednesday with the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor played his first 11 seasons with Miami before being traded a year ago to the Washington Redskins -- a fallout from his stint on the TV show "Dancing With the Stars." He was released by Washington in March after one injury-plagued season.
Also: Baltimore Ravens right tackle Willie Anderson is retiring. General manager Ozzie Newsome announced in a one-sentence news release that Anderson was placed on the reserve-retired list.
Anderson, 33, spent all but two seasons of his 13-year career with the Cincinnati Bengals and was named to four Pro Bowls. Last year, he started 11 regular-season games and all three of Baltimore's playoff games.
The new $1.1 billion Dallas Cowboys stadium doesn't have an announced sponsor yet -- but now it has a name. Team owner Jerry Jones announced that the venue will be called Cowboys Stadium.

Garrett Reid, the oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, has returned to prison. Garrett Reid's lawyer, Timothy Woodward, said the 26-year-old Villanova, Pa., man was in an altercation at a Philadelphia halfway house.
Reid was sentenced to two years in a drug rehabilitation program in July after being caught with 89 prescription pills inside his rectum at the Montgomery County Prison.

Armstrong struggles in fifth stage of Giro
Lance Armstrong is still a long way from regaining the form that won him a record seven consecutive Tour de France titles.
The Texan finished nearly three minutes behind the leaders in the grueling uphill finish to Alpi di Suisi, Italy, that concluded the fifth stage of his first Giro d'Italia. Armstrong dropped from sixth to 22nd overall, 3 minutes, 34 seconds behind new race leader Danilo Di Luca.
Also: A woman accused of trying to extort millions of dollars from Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino pleaded not guilty in Louisville, Ky. She later defiantly announced she "will not break" while surrounded by supporters on the courthouse steps.
Karen Cunagin Sypher was mostly silent at her arraignment but proclaimed her innocence to reporters afterward.
