Michigan quarterback Sheridan breaks leg
Michigan quarterback Nick Sheridan will miss the rest of spring drills with a broken leg.
Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez said Thursday that Sheridan was injured during a scrimmage Tuesday.
Sheridan started four games last season, going 63-for-137 for 613 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions.
Also: Offensive lineman Mike Goff has signed a free-agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Goff has started 147 games during his 11-year career with the Cincinnati Bengals and San Diego Chargers, including the last 106 dating to October 2002.
Free-agent safety Pierson Prioleau has agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints.
The 5-foot-10-inch, 188-pound safety has played 10 years with the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hungry Clijsters plans to return for U.S. Open
Kim Clijsters will return to professional tennis after two years in retirement, saying she has regained the competitive hunger that led to the No. 1 ranking.
"I still have that craving," the 25-year-old Belgian said. "I look forward to the challenge."
Clijsters, who retired in May 2007 to get married and start a family, plans to enter the U.S. Open, which begins Aug. 31 -- her first competition at Flushing Meadows since winning her only Grand Slam singles championship there in 2005.
Also: The UNLV men's 200-yard freestyle relay swim team was disqualified because of a false start in the first event of the preliminaries at the NCAA men's swimming and diving championships in College Station, Texas.
Four Rebels swam individual events as well in the preliminaries. The best showing came in the 50 free, as Thomas Andolfsson placed 30th with a time of 19.71.
Evan Lysacek won the world figure skating championship in his hometown of Los Angeles, becoming the first U.S. skater since Todd Eldredge in 1996 to claim the world crown.
Canada's Patrick Chan took second, and 2007 world winner Brian Joubert of France was third.
The world's largest women's bowling tournament begins a 100-day run in Reno on Saturday, an event Nevada tourism officials say will pump an estimated $40 million into the city's economy.
The Wranglers announced the signing of defenseman John Schwarz to an amateur tryout agreement. The team also announced that defenseman Mat Robinson has been released from his amateur tryout.
