Duke expected to hire Tennessee coordinator
David Cutcliffe, the former Mississippi football coach who spent the last two seasons as Tennessee's offensive coordinator, was hired by Duke and will be introduced today at a news conference, a person familiar with the decision said on the condition of anonymity.
Also: Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, the Heisman Trophy winner, had the cast removed from his broken right hand and practiced without any problems. He sustained a nondisplaced fracture in his nonthrowing hand Nov. 24 against Florida State and wore a cast for three weeks.
Louisville wide receiver Mario Urrutia will bypass his senior season and enter the NFL Draft. The 6-foot-6-inch, 220-pounder had 35 receptions for 501 yards and three touchdowns during an injury-marred season.
Oklahoma assistant Kevin Sumlin was introduced as Houston's coach after agreeing to a five-year deal. The 43-year-old becomes the first black head coach in the 60-year history of the program.
Scottie Reynolds scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half as No. 23 Villanova (8-1) pulled away to a 103-75 men's college basketball victory over Hartford (5-7) in Villanova, Pa. Five Wildcats scored in double figures.
Wake Forest (21-2-2) and Ohio State (17-3-5) advanced to the soccer championship game in the NCAA Men's College Cup at Cary, N.C. The Demon Deacons defeated Virginia Tech 2-0, and the Buckeyes beat Massachusetts, 1-0.

Tiger sets course mark with 62, leads by four
Tiger Woods fired a 10-under-par 62, setting the course record at Sherwood Country Club and building a four-shot lead over Jim Furyk in the Target World Challenge at Thousand Oaks, Calif. Woods, playing for the first time in 10 weeks, was at 13-under 131.
Also: South Africa's James Kingston shot a 3-under 69 to take a one-stroke lead after the second round of the South African Open in Paarl. He is at 2-under 142.
England's Lisa Hall shot a 3-under 69 to take a one-shot lead at 8-under 136 after two rounds of the Dubai Ladies Masters at Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Henderson resident Natalie Gulbis (77-75) missed the cut.

USADA loses arbitration ruling for first time ever
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency suffered its first defeat ever in a case brought to arbitration when a three-person panel ruled in favor of sprinter LaTasha Jenkins, who had been sanctioned for using the anabolic steroid nandralone.
USADA's record fell to 36-1 since it started prosecuting American athletes for doping violations seven years ago.
Also: Middleweight boxer Joey Gilbert has been cleared of using methamphetamine but still faces a hearing in January on charges he used a steroid and four other banned substances.
The Nevada Athletic Commission's complaint was filed after Gilbert stopped Charles Howe in the first round of their Sept. 21 fight in Reno and allegedly tested positive for the substances.
Goalie Daniel Manzato stopped 41 shots in regulation and all four in the shootout as the Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 4-3 in an ECHL game at West Valley, Utah.
Sean Owens, Ryan Donally and Brandon Kaleniecki scored in regulation for Las Vegas (18-2-2), and Aki Seitsonen and Donally scored in the shootout.
Andy McDonald, a key member of the Anaheim Ducks' Stanley Cup championship team last season, was traded to the St. Louis Blues for Doug Weight, Michal Birner and a seventh-round draft pick next year.
