Uncle: Lorenzen Wright's body found in woods near Memphis
Relatives and friends of Lorenzen Wright gathered Wednesday and grieved for the former NBA player who has been missing for 10 days, as police investigated the discovery of a man's body outside of Memphis, Tenn.
Wright's uncle, Curtis Wright, told The Associated Press that police called the player's father, Herb Wright, Wednesday afternoon with the news he had died.
Sgt. Alyssa Macon-Moore of the Memphis Police Department wrote in an e-mail to the AP that police were investigating the death of an unidentified man beside a wooded area about 15 miles south of downtown Memphis. Asked if the man was Wright, she wrote they could not confirm the victim's identity Wednesday night.
However, the family issued a statement through Lorenzen Wright's cousin, Camella Logan, confirming his death.
Also: Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum is expected to be limited at the start of training camp after undergoing successful surgery on his right knee.
Bynum had surgery in New York to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. The 7-foot center initially hurt his knee during the first round of the Lakers' run through the playoffs to their second straight NBA title.
A person familiar with the deal said Josh Howard has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the Washington Wizards.
Howard, who has averaged 15.3 points per game in seven seasons, played only four games with the Wizards last season. He was acquired in a seven-player trade with the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 13 but tore a ligament in his left knee Feb. 22.
The Los Angeles Clippers re-signed free-agent forward Rasual Butler, who averaged a career-high 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 33 minutes in 82 games last season. Butler shot 41 percent from the floor and set a franchise record with 145 3-pointers.
The Houston Rockets traded center David Andersen to Toronto for cash and a future second-round draft pick. The 6-foot-11-inch Australian averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 63 games last season, his first in the NBA.
West Virginia coach Bob Huggins was released from a Las Vegas hospital, according to a university statement. Huggins had been hospitalized since breaking seven ribs in a fall in his hotel room Friday while on a recruiting trip.
Kevin Coble, one of Northwestern's top players, will skip his senior season after sitting out with a broken left foot last year. Coble, the team's leading scorer and rebounder for three years, was injured in a preseason practice and had surgery. In a statement, he said his rehabilitation "is most important."

51s manage only four singles in shutout loss against Reno
Four Reno pitchers combined on a four-hitter as the host Aces defeated the 51s 8-0 in a Pacific Coast League game.
Las Vegas (50-55) had four singles and reached second base only twice.
Jose Marte (1-2) picked up the victory by pitching two hitless innings after Zach Kroenke, a left-handed reliever making only his second start in 33 appearances this season, gave up two hits in four innings and left with a 4-0 lead.
Reno relievers Leyson Septimo and Jason Urquidez finished off the shutout.
51s starter Luis Perez (3-3) allowed seven runs (six earned), including four in the first, on six hits and five walks in five-plus innings. He struck out six.
Chris Rahl and Carlos Corporan each hit a two-run single for the Aces (45-60).
Also: Bobby Wyatt shot 14-under-par 57 at the Alabama Boys State Junior Championship.
The University of Alabama-bound teen, who turns 18 this weekend, had 12 birdies, an eagle and five pars on the par-71, 6,628-yard course at the Country Club of Mobile. His birdie putt hung on the lip on the 18th green, and he had to settle for par. Wyatt needed 23 total putts, shooting 9-under 26 on the front nine.
Ryo Ishikawa's 58 in the final round of The Crowns tournament on the Japan Tour on May 2 is the lowest score on a major tour. The lowest score in a PGA Tour event is 59.
Tiger Woods entered the Bridgestone Invitational next week at Firestone in Akron, Ohio, where he is the defending champion and a seven-time winner of the World Golf Championship.
