Querrey outlasts Isner
in all-American final

Sam Querrey survived a match point as he rallied to beat John Isner 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 Sunday to win an all-American Serbia Open final in Belgrade, Serbia.

The second-seeded Isner wasted a match point in the second set while serving and leading 5-3. His powerful first serve seemed to have deserted him in the crucial moments as Querrey converted a break point with a forehand passing shot.

The third-seeded Querrey then converted his fifth break point in the ninth game of the third set before serving out the match for his fourth career ATP tour title.

Also: Mikhail Youzhny beat top-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to win the BMW Open in Munich, Germany.

The second-seeded Russian captured the BMW Open in his third attempt in the final, having lost in 2007 and 2009.

Former top-ranked players Justine Henin and Maria Sharapova crashed out in the first round of the Madrid Masters in Madrid, Spain..

Aravane Rezai beat Henin 4-6, 7-5, 6-0, and Lucie Safarova edged Sharapova, 6-4, 6-3.

Sprint Cup star Stewart
losing Old Spice support

Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart is losing a sponsor at the end of the season.

Mike Norton, a spokesman for Old Spice, said it will not renew its sponsorship with Stewart when its current deal expires at the end of the year. Norton said the decision was based on a change in marketing strategies.

The Proctor and Gamble product has partnered with Stewart the past 11 years.

Also: Red Bull's Mark Webber secured a comfortable wire-to-wire victory at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Spain. Webber was followed by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel after Lewis Hamilton crashed with one lap remaining.

Webber made it 10 straight winners from the pole position at the Circuit de Catalunya after the Australian drove a flawless race for a 24-second victory over Alonso.

Chelsea rolls in finale,
wins Premier League

Chelsea regained the English Premier League title from Manchester United with an 8-0 victory over Wigan, with Didier Drogba scoring three times.

Even though United finished the campaign with a 4-0 victory over Stoke at Old Trafford, the big celebrations were at Stamford Bridge. Goals by Drogba, two by Nicolas Anelka and one each by Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou and Ashley Cole left Chelsea the champion by one point over United.

Also: Antonio Margarito won a unanimous decision over Roberto Garcia on Saturday in Aguascalientes, Mexico, in his first fight in more than 15 months following a one-year suspension.

Margarito (38-6), a former welterweight champion, was suspended a year after being caught with illegal hand wraps in a loss to Shane Mosley on Jan. 24, 2009.

Virginia Tech guard Malcolm Delaney withdrew from the NBA Draft and will return to the Hokies for his senior season. Delaney led the Atlantic Coast Conference in scoring last season at 20.2 points per game.

Former Detroit Pistons player Bill Laimbeer, now an assistant with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and former Toronto coach Sam Mitchell met with the Philadelphia 76ers to discuss the team's vacant coaching job.
