Wrigley Field will host game between Northwestern, Illini

Football is coming back to Wrigley Field.

Northwestern and Illinois will play a Big Ten game at the storied baseball park Nov. 20.

Wrigley Field, built in 1914 and the second-oldest baseball venue in the major leagues, has hosted plenty of football -- just not in a while.

Wrigley was home to the Chicago Bears from 1921 to 1970.

Also: Boise State coach Chris Petersen's new five-year, $8 million contract was approved by the Idaho State Board of Education.

Bohn takes two-shot lead over
five others in Zurich Classic

Jason Bohn took advantage of calm morning conditions in the Zurich Classic in Avondale, La., shooting a 7-under-par 65 in the first round to take a two-stroke lead over Jason Dufner, John Senden, Jeff Overton, Greg Owen and 2006 champion Chris Couch.

Bohn had eight birdies and one bogey -- when he tried to reach the par-5 18th green in two strokes and ended up in the water -- at TPC Louisiana.

Five players -- former British Open champion David Duval, Charles Howell III, Kevin Sutherland, 2002 winner K.J. Choi and Troy Merritt -- opened with 68s.

Also: Australia's Marcus Fraser shot a
7-under 65 to take the lead in the suspended first round of the fog-disrupted Ballantine's Championship at Jeju Island, South Korea.

Play was delayed for six hours by fog, then suspended due to darkness. Only 36 players were able to finish. South Africa's Ernie Els and American Anthony Kim shot 68s.

South Korean star Y.E. Yang, playing a tournament on his home island for the first time since winning the PGA Championship last year, birdied the first hole before play was suspended.

UNR lands highly regarded
prep guard from California

UNR's basketball team got some good news after star sophomore forward Luke Babbitt announced he's following junior guard Armon Johnson into the NBA Draft.

Deonte Burton, a 6-foot-1-inch guard from Compton, Calif., signed a national letter of intent. He also had offers from UCLA and Cincinnati, among others.

Burton was named the CIF Southern California Division III player of the year this past season, when he averaged 21 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Also: UCLA, Utah and Oklahoma advanced to the NCAA Women's Gymnastics team finals in Gainesville, Fla. Third-seeded Alabama won the evening session. Florida and sixth-seeded Stanford also advanced to the finals.

Olympic and world champion sprinter LaShawn Merritt accepted a provisional suspension after testing positive for a banned drug, his lawyer said.

Merritt used an over-the-counter male enhancement product that contained substances that caused him to fail three tests between October and January.

The Vancouver Paralympics curling skip who won gold for Canada was arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle thousands of counterfeit pills into the country.

A U.S. federal court complaint said Jim Armstrong was taken into custody April 15 in Blaine, Wash., after he picked up counterfeit Viagra and Cialis tablets from a U.S. postal outlet.

The UNLV softball team lost 7-3 to Brigham Young in Provo, Utah. The Rebels (26-17, 3-2 Mountain West Conference) jumped to a 3-0 lead with runs in the fourth and fifth innings before BYU (30-9, 5-1) rallied with seven unanswered runs.
