INTERNET ONLY: Late goal lifts Rancho over Valley in boys soccer

Rancho's Russell McLellan scored with less then two minutes left to lead the Rams past visiting Valley 1-0 on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Gerardo Mendoza posted the shutout for Rancho.

At Spring Valley, Bonanza scored three second-half goals to break a 1-1 halftime tie and defeat the Grizzlies, 4-2.

John Milne scored two goals for Bonanza, and Deric Larkin and Chad Smith each scored a goal. Jason Mazzeo scored both goals for Spring Valley.

At Sierra Vista, the Lions held Durango without a shot on goal in a 3-0 win.

Ruben Ovakimian had a goal and an assist for Sierra Vista. Bilal Rashad and Igor Pavlovic also scored. Andrew Fontein was in goal for Sierra Vista.

At Desert Pines, Canyon Springs pulled away for a 3-1 win behind goals from Eddie Belarosa, Miguel Dorado and Marlo Vivrisca.

Francisco Oropeza scored for the Jaguars.

At Western, Steve Avena broke a 1-1 tie with 10 minutes remaining as Bishop Gorman won, 2-1. Austin Cain also scored for the Gaels.

Jose Ponce had Western's goal.

At Las Vegas, Jaime Toscano scored the winning goal with one minute remaining as the Wildcats topped Eldorado, 2-1. Joaquin Rivas also scored for Las Vegas.

Jonathan Lopez scored Eldorado's goal.

At Community Park, Ryan Sniezyk had three goals and an assist to lead Faith Lutheran to a 5-0 win over Boulder City.

Wade Norman added two goals, and Marc Davies and Austin Hardee combined on the shutout.

At Overton, The Meadows' Matthew Shackley and Alex Karabachev scored as the Mustangs beat Moapa Valley, 2-1.

Brandon Clifford scored for the Pirates.

At Lake Mead, Jared Dean scored two goals to lead the Eagles past Virgin Valley, 2-0.

GIRLS

At Boulder City, Faith Lutheran's Sydney Spoon, Stephanie Meyer and Hannah Stevens each scored to lead the Crusaders past the Eagles, 3-1.

Alyssa Gutscheck scored Boulder City's goal in the second half.
