Jaguars slip past Gators in OT

Cliff Harrell scored as time expired in overtime to lift Desert Pines' boys basketball team to a 62-61 home win over Green Valley on Wednesday.

Harrell, who took the pass from Pierre Jackson, finished with 12 points and eight rebounds for the Jaguars.

Chris Perry added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Kimani Bullard also scored 12 for the Jaguars.

Julian Franklin had 20 points for the Gators.

• Cimarron-Memorial 93, Bonanza 89 -- At Cimarron, Mike Cutright hit five 3-pointers and scored 41 points to help the Spartans beat the Bengals.

Tyler Tuliau added 18 points and Arthur Baker 14 for Cimarron. Tomo Delp led Bonanza with 22 points, and teammate Marcus Matt scored 15.

• Canyon Springs 82, Foothill 72 -- At Canyon Springs, Juron Criner scored 22 points, and the Pioneers rallied from a 38-25 halftime deficit by scoring 57 points in the second half.

Raveon Samuel added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Canyon Springs. Ben Green led Foothill with 23 points.

• Valley 63, Coronado 57 -- At Valley, Terrence Tatum led a balanced attack with 15 points as the Vikings beat the Cougars.

Deante Jones added 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Keith Bowen had 12 points and 15 rebounds for Valley.

T.J. Knowles paced Coronado with 14 points.

• Las Vegas 77, Del Sol 62 -- At Las Vegas, Christian Couthen scored 17 of his game-high 28 points in the second half to lead the Wildcats.

Las Vegas pulled away after opening a 29-25 halftime lead. Tony Eackles added 17 points for the Wildcats.

Maurice Lawson led Del Sol with 16 points.

• Spring Valley 71, Palo Verde 58 -- At Palo Verde, the Grizzlies jumped to a 16-point lead after the first quarter and rolled to the win.

Spring Valley's Tenacious Gibson led a balanced attack with 16 points.

Aaron May scored 16 for Palo Verde.

• Calvary Chapel 49, Spring Mountain 43 -- At Saville Middle School, Dario Rahming led three Lions in double figures with 19 points as Calvary Chapel fended off the Eagles.

Joe Williams led Spring Mountain with 13 points.

GIRLS

• Coronado 46, Valley 35 -- At Valley, Danielle Boyle scored 20 points to lead the Cougars over the Vikings.

Courtney Whitaker added 13 points for Coronado. Vanessa Corona led Valley with 20 points.

• Green Valley 59, Desert Pines 44 -- At Desert Pines, Jazmine Jarvis scored 24 points and Sarah Pickus 11 as Green Valley defeated the Jaguars.

LeBrea Walker scored 16 for Desert Pines.

• Foothill 51, Canyon Springs 29 -- At Canyon Springs, Michelle Kothe and Renee Pedroza each scored 10 points to help the Falcons defeat the Pioneers.

• Palo Verde 53, Spring Valley 26 -- At Palo Verde, Brittany Stanley had 14 points as the Panthers routed the Grizzlies.

Palo Verde outscored Spring Valley 21-6 in the second quarter to take a 27-16 halftime lead.

• Las Vegas 55, Del Sol 19 -- At Las Vegas, the Wildcats opened a 20-2 first-quarter lead and cruised.

Amber Kelly led Las Vegas with 12 points.
