Maurice Jones scored 28 points to guide Southern California to a 63-60 victory over South Carolina on Saturday in the third-place game of the Las Vegas Invitational at Orleans Arena.

DeWayne Dedmon, who played only five foul-plagued minutes in the Trojans' loss to UNLV on Friday, had 15 points and eight rebounds in 35 minutes.

In the fifth-place game, Cal Poly rolled over Mississippi Valley State 72-55, and in the seventh-place game, Tennessee State beat Morgan State, 69-64.
