Kurcz, Hollenback pitch Durango past Palo Verde

Aaron Kurcz and Zach Hollenback combined on a five-inning one-hitter Saturday as Durango's baseball team downed visiting Palo Verde, 14-0.
Niko Vasquez was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Trailblazers, who scored eight runs in the first inning and five more in the second.
Jason McClaren was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Durango.
Palo Verde's lone hit was a fourth-inning single.
• Calvary Chapel 10, Pahrump Valley 3 -- At Pahrump Valley, winning pitcher Cameron Harper was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs to lead the Lions.
Cory Welch was 3-for-4 with a double for Calvary Chapel. Zack Vergiels added a home run for the Lions.
Mike Gonzalez homered for the Trojans.
SOFTBALL
• Liberty 12, Boulder City 4 -- At Boulder City, Danielle Brock went 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs to help Liberty down the Eagles.
Robin Lowery had two hits, including a seventh-inning grand slam, and five RBIs for the Patriots.
Brittany Patt was 2-for-4 for Boulder City.
