Lake Mead’s victory total climbs to 27

Jared Dean led four Lake Mead players in double figures with 14 points as the Eagles beat visiting Calvary Chapel 74-35 on Saturday for a school-record 27th victory.
Demetrius Turner added 13 points, DeQuan Thompson 12 and Landon Littlefield 11 for Lake Mead (27-1), which finished 10-0 in the 1A South League with the win.
Tony Pfeiffer scored nine points to lead Calvary Chapel.
• Trinity 64, Mountain View 29 -- At Trinity, Daveron Ross scored 20 points and Kasey Montonini 17 as the Thunder rolled. Trinity led 13-2 after the first quarter and 29-7 at halftime.
GIRLS
• Lake Mead 32, Calvary Chapel 25 -- At Lake Mead, freshman Ashley Newton had 12 points and seven rebounds to lead the Eagles past the Lions.
Jenna Willis added 10 points for Lake Mead, which outscored Calvary 9-0 in the third quarter to take control.
• Mountain View 76, Trinity 31 -- At Trinity, Randall Van Kempen had 31 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals to lead the Saints over the Thunder.
Ellie Markwardt added 21 points, four assists and three steals for Mountain View. Kristi Elles scored 12 for the Saints, who held Trinity scoreless in the first quarter.
