LaRoche, 51s rally past Bees

Andy LaRoche hit two two-run homers, including his 18th of the season in the 11th inning, to lead the 51s to an 11-9 victory over the Salt Lake Bees in a Pacific Coast League game Friday in Salt Lake City.

LaRoche, who finished 4-for-6, also had a double during Las Vegas' three-run rally in the ninth inning. Marshall McDougall's two-out RBI double tied the score at 9 in the ninth.

Choo Freeman and Ken Huckaby each went 3-for-6 for the 51s (65-76), who had a 20-19 edge in hits. Freeman hit his ninth homer of the season.

Tommy Murphy went 4-for-5 and Tim Duff 3-for-4 for the Bees (73-67). William Juarez (5-6) got the win with two innings of relief.

The teams will play again at 6:05 tonight in Salt Lake City.
