■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Tucson, Ariz., Mike Baxter went 3-for-4, including a two-run homer in the fifth inning, to lead Las Vegas’ 10-hit attack.

Zach Lutz also homered for the 51s (46-41), hitting a solo shot in the fourth inning, and Brian Bixler added two hits.

In getting his first victory of the season, Montero allowed both runs on eight hits and two walks in six innings.

Gonzalez Germen got the final four outs, three on strikeouts, for his fourth save. ... Tucson (49-41) leads the Pacific Coast League’s South Division by 1½ games over the 51s.
