■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, Wilmer Flores and Matt den Dekker each had four RBIs to help the 51s (60-48) sweep Sacramento (57-53) to cap a 7-1 homestand. ... The benches cleared in the seventh inning, leading to the ejection of the 51s’ Jordany Valdespin and Armando Rodriguez and both managers. Rodriguez hit Grant Green with a pitch with one out as retaliation for Valdespin being plunked by Brian Gordon in the sixth. Valdespin had posed after hitting a three-run homer in the third. Skippers Wally Backman of the 51s and Steve Scarsone of Sacramento engaged in a heated argument and had to be separated by all three umpires.
