Legends win fourth straight in Major Arena Soccer League
Uzi Tayou’s goal with 5:44 remaining in the fourth quarter broke a 4-4 tie, and the Las Vegas Legends went on to post a 7-5 win over the Turlock Express on Tuesday night in a Major Arena Soccer League match at Orleans Arena.
The Legends (6-5) won their fourth straight game and moved into third place in the MASL Pacific Division.
Turlock (6-5) led 1-0 midway through the first quarter before Las Vegas tied the score on Ivan Campos’ goal with 1:08 left in the quarter.
The Legends grabbed a 2-1 lead just before halftime when Aldo Flores took Felipe Gonzalez’s pass and redirected it past Express goalkeeper Edgar Martinez.
Las Vegas, which outshot Turlock 44-25, had third-quarter leads of 3-1 and 4-3 before Turlock pulled even on Uriel Robredo’s goal at 9:22 in the third quarter.
But Tayou was in the right spot as Campos’ shot was deflected right to him. Warren Ukah’s goal with 2:08 to play sealed the win for Las Vegas, which travels to second-place Ontario on Saturday.
