Local colleges: CSN baseball splits pair

The College of Southern Nevada baseball team split two games Saturday, beating Glendale (Ariz.) Community College 11-10 in 10 innings after losing to Yavapai (Ariz.) College 5-3 at Morse Stadium.
Against Glendale, Chad Whiteaker doubled down the left-field line with two outs in the 10th to bring in Will Morris from first base with the winning run. Morgan Stotts was 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs for the Coyotes (2-1).
■ CSN SOFTBALL - The Coyotes beat Glendale (Ariz.) Community College 8-6 at Stephanie Lynn Craig Park. CSN (3-0) had its game against Eastern Arizona canceled due to rain.
■ UNLV MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING - UNLV beat Air Force for the second straight day, 126-116 at Buchanan Natatorium. UNLV won all 11 swimming events.
■ UNLV TRACK AND FIELD - At Seattle, Kelsey Williamson took second in the 800-meter run to pace five top-six finishes by the UNLV track and field team at the UW Invitational.
