Locomotives add 19 players

The Las Vegas Locomotives added 19 players to their United Football League inaugural season roster Monday, including three former Utah players.
Former Utes wide receiver Brian Hernandez, center Jesse Boone and nose tackle Lauvale Sape signed with Las Vegas and will be in the team's training camp later this month. Hernandez, who played for Utah in 2005 and 2006, spent the past two seasons playing arena football in af2.
In addition, the Locomotives signed three players with NFL experience. Tab Perry, a wide receiver who spent three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and spent last year on injured reserve with Miami after injuring his knee; cornerback Wale Dada, who played for the New York Jets, Seattle, New Orleans and Denver before spending last year with Edmonton of the Canadian Football League; and guard Martin Bibla, who played three years with the Atlanta Falcons, two years in arena football with Philadelphia and was cut this summer by British Columbia of the CFL.
Las Vegas, which now has 35 players under contract, opens its season Oct. 8 at Sam Boyd Stadium against San Francisco.
