Locomotives ride Losman, Shipp to win over Sentinels
J.P. Losman threw for two touchdowns and Marcel Shipp ran for a pair to lead the Las Vegas Locomotives to a 41-10 victory over the New York Sentinels in a United Football League game Wednesday in Hempstead, N.Y.
Losman finished 27 of 37 for 277 yards, with a 14-yard scoring pass to tight end Adam Bergen in the first half's final minute and a 17-yard touchdown toss to running back Josh Scobey in the fourth quarter.
Shipp totaled 34 yards on 12 carries, including scoring runs of 1 and 6 yards in the first half as the Locomotives (2-2) took a 24-7 lead into intermission.
Ingle Martin was 21 of 36 for 173 yards and a TD for the Sentinels (0-4), who were outgained 321-241 in yards of offense.
Trey Young returned a fourth-quarter interception 75 yards for a score for Las Vegas.
