Loewen’s homers fuel 51s at Fresno

Adam Loewen hit two solo home runs and Craig Stansberry supplied a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning, lifting the 51s to a 4-3 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies on Monday in the Pacific Coast League at Fresno, Calif.

Loewen's second homer and 10th of the season leading off the seventh tied the game at 3.

In the eighth, Chris Woodward walked, advanced to second on Manny Mayorson's single, stole third and scored on Stansberry's single through shortstop.

Wil Ledezma (1-1) struck out three in two innings of hitless relief for Las Vegas (33-26). Danny Farquhar got the save.

The teams conclude the four-game series at 7:05 p.m. today.
