Lubanski leads 51s past RedHawks

One night after overpowering Oklahoma City with strong pitching and a pair of home runs, the 51s used small ball in rolling to an 11-6 victory over the host RedHawks in the Pacific Coast League on Tuesday.

Las Vegas (59-64) had no homers but racked up 16 hits, including five doubles. Designated hitter Chris Lubanski filled his role, going 5-for-6 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Mike McCoy was 2-for-6 with three RBIs, and Jason Lane went 3-for-6 with a double.

Already leading 3-1, the 51s pulled away with four runs in the fifth inning. Brad Emaus had an RBI single, and with two outs, Brian Jeroloman drew a bases-loaded walk and McCoy hit a two-run single.

The 51s added a run in the eighth and three more in the ninth.
