Mayhem get only two hits, lose in Connie Mack West Regional

The Las Vegas Mayhem managed just two hits Wednesday and dropped a 5-0 decision to NorCal Baseball at the Connie Mack West Regional at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif.

NorCal scored four runs in the fourth inning to pull away from Las Vegas, which had just four hits in a 2-1 win over the Southern California Renegades in its tournament opener Tuesday.

The Mayhem play the Orange County Giants at 10:30 a.m. today in an elimination game.

“We’re not looking at this as a learning experience,” Mayhem coach Gino DiMaria said. “We want to win the thing. We have enough pitching. One question mark is our hitting. Can it stay consistent?”
