Nanita’s three homers power 51s’ win

Ricardo Nanita belted three home runs and added a double, fueling the 51s to a 10-4 Pacific Coast League victory over the Sacramento River Cats in West Sacramento, Calif., on Saturday night.
Nanita hit a two-out, two-run blast in the first inning, led off the third with a solo shot, hit a leadoff double to start a three-run fifth inning and hit another solo homer in the sixth inning. At that point, Las Vegas (72-55) led 10-0.
Sacramento (77-51) came back with four runs in the bottom of the sixth, including a Shane Peterson three-run homer.
Jonathan Diaz also homered for the 51s, and Tuffy Gosewisch went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, including a two-run double in the second inning. Chris Woodward went 3-for-5 with a run.
