Odom set to begin comeback bid in Spain

Embattled NBA veteran Lamar Odom is set to return to the basketball court.

The 34-year-old, who is now more well known for his rocky marriage to a Kardashian and his battle with drugs than for anything he has done on the floor, will not be playing for the Lakers or Clippers.

In fact, he won’t be suiting up for any NBA team.

Odom has agreed to sign a two-month deal with Spanish club Laboral Kutxa, according to ESPN.com. The terms of the deal do include an option to extend the contract for the remainder of the season.

Odom posted career-low totals of 4.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game during a tumultuous year with the Clippers last season.

The ESPN report indicates Odom plans to play out the season before deciding whether he wants to attempt a comeback with an NBA team. He could make his debut with Laboral Kutxa as soon as Saturday.

Odom made frequent appearances on tabloid covers throughout 2013 as his life, and Hollywood marriage, appeared to spiral out of control.

He was divorced from Khloe Kardashian in December, but now appears on the path to recovery both personally and professionally.
