Ontario rallies to victory

While snow has disrupted life in Las Vegas this week, the Reign has wreaked havoc with the Wranglers.
After shutting out Las Vegas early Tuesday morning to spoil the team's sixth annual midnight game, Ontario (Calif.) dealt the Wranglers another disheartening defeat Friday night at the Orleans Arena.
Ryan MacGregor scored a tiebreaking goal 4:41 into the third period to lift the Reign to a 4-3 comeback victory in front of a crowd of 4,777 as Ontario improved to 4-1-0 this season against the Wranglers.
After Las Vegas left wing Tim Spencer turned the puck over near center ice, Reign forward Maxime Bosclair came away with it and fed MacGregor, who skated into the slot and ripped the puck past Wranglers goalie John DeCaro (23 saves) for what turned out to be the game winner.
"We made some big mistakes that changed the outcome of the game," Las Vegas assistant coach Mike McBain said. "We've played Ontario enough to know they're going to be tough games and every little thing you do is going to count. The first team that makes one of those key mistakes ends up on the wrong side."
Kelly Czuy, who was loaned to Las Vegas by the Springfield (Mass.) Falcons of the American Hockey League for a conditioning assignment, buried a rebound in front of the net to give the Wranglers a 3-2 lead with 7:07 left in the second period.
But Bosclair tied it with a power-play goal with 2:16 remaining in the second.
The Reign (15-9-2) went 1-for-7 with the man advantage, and the Wranglers (10-13-2) went 0-for-3.
Matt Beaudoin and Mick Lawrence, who returned from the injured reserve list, also scored for Las Vegas, which has lost six of its last eight games.
• NOTE -- Tyler Mosienko, the Wranglers' second-leading scorer with 21 points, was loaned to the AHL's Manchester (N.H.) Monarchs.
