Owens a model of vanity

From NFL diva to fashionista, Terrell Owens might be too sexy for his shirt, too sexy that it hurts, too sexy for Milan ... just like the Right Said Fred song.

Having already launched a reality TV show and promoted his own breakfast cereal, the Buffalo Bills receiver is ready to try fashion after signing a deal with Wilhelmina Models this week -- and the catwalk might never be the same.

"When you've got some good looks like myself, you've got to take full advantage of it," Owens said Wednesday.

You can't blame Owens for planning for his post-football career, which probably should commence in the near future.

VIVA, OCHOCINCO! -- Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco is taking the NFL's fine for his latest touchdown celebration as a challenge to do more.

Ochocinco was fined $30,000 for donning a mock poncho and a sombrero following a touchdown catch Sunday. That's $10,000 more than the fine he got for pretending to bribe an official.

The receiver said the fine won't deter him from breaking the league's rules against celebrations again.

With the Bengals playing at Minnesota on Sunday, might there be an Eric the Red sighting?

WOODS CAN KISS HONOR GOODBYE -- A California congressman is dropping his effort to honor Tiger Woods with a Congressional Gold Medal.

Democratic Rep. Joe Baca proposed legislation in March that called for the golfer to be recognized for promoting good sportsmanship and breaking down barriers in the sport.

Baca said in a statement that "in light of the recent developments surrounding Tiger Woods and his family," he won't pursue legislation this session to give Woods the award.

Good thinking.

GOING FOR THE GREENS -- The PGA Tour has picked up its third new title sponsor of the year with an announcement that Waste Management will take over the Phoenix Open starting next year.

Waste Management replaces FBR, which had said earlier this year it would not renew its contract after 2010.

SCOOOORE! -- Robbers took advantage of Brazil's passion for soccer to steal about $6 million from a cash delivery firm Sunday.

Police suspect the thieves tunneled into the firm's building in Sao Paulo and waited until the final game of the national championships were played to break in and steal more than $5.7 million.

A security guard working at the firm Sunday reported hearing loud noises but thought they were from fireworks lit by excited soccer fans.

COACH, PLAYERS BOTH LOST -- New Hampshire hit just 3 of 25 shots and 0 of 2 free throws on Friday in trailing 15-7 at Pitt -- the lowest-scoring first half in the shot-clock era of NCAA Division I basketball, according to Dwight Perry of The Seattle Times.

"We turned the game back a few years," New Hampshire coach Bill Herrion told The Associated Press. "We couldn't throw the ball in ... what river is close to here? The Monongahela? The Allegheny?"
