Payne, Western top Spring Valley

Phillip Payne scored 21 points Tuesday as Western rallied to beat host Spring Valley, 74-66.

Zach Fowler added 18 points for the Warriors (7-9), who are now tied with Bonanza for the Southwest Division's final playoff berth at 5-6. Bonanza plays at Western on Thursday.

Jesse Chippoletti scored 21 points to lead the Grizzlies (16-8, 8-3).

Desert Pines 76, Las Vegas 72 -- At Las Vegas, Mike Ball scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Jaguars rallied to beat the Wildcats.

Desert Pines (16-7, 9-3 Northeast) trailed 60-54 entering the final period.

Reggie Shaw led the Jaguars with 23 points, and Pierre Jackson added 17 points.

Marvin Campbell had 20 points to lead Las Vegas (7-13, 3-8). Zerrick Pryor added 14 points and Christian Couthen 12 for the Wildcats.

Durango 73, Bonanza 68 -- At Durango, Jamal Crook scored 24 points, and the Trailblazers used a 24-10 third-quarter advantage to come back to defeat the Bengals.

Marcus Falley supplied 18 points and Ron Barnes added 12 points and seven rebounds for Durango (10-12, 7-4 Southwest), which trailed 35-31 at the half.

Matt Andrews led Bonanza (7-13, 5-6) with 25 points. Landry Peterson added 15 points for the Bengals, who hurt themselves by going 3-for-12 from the free-throw line.

Chaparral 49, Rancho 38 -- At Chaparral, Tyquiese Anthony scored 16 points to help the Cowboys beat the Rams.

Chris McCraney added 10 points for Chaparral (7-16, 3-8 Northeast).

Kevin Dupree led Rancho (2-17, 0-11) with 15 points.

Bishop Gorman 61, Clark 38 -- At Gorman, Anson Winder had 14 points and nine rebounds as the Gaels downed the Chargers.

Quintin Dailey had 13 points and Kamana Kaimikaua 10 for Gorman, which clinched the Southwest Division title with the victory. The Gaels are 24-3, 11-0 in the league.

Isidro Garcia led Clark with 11 points, and Mike Allen scored 10 for the Chargers (3-19, 0-10).

Canyon Springs 80, Valley 68 -- At Canyon Springs, Deremy Geiger had 31 points, seven assists and four steals to lead Pioneers over the Vikings.

Raveon Samuel added 17 points and nine rebounds for Canyon Springs (20-6), and teammate Kevin Wilson scored 11.

The Pioneers pulled into a tie with Eldorado for first place in the Northeast Division at 9-2.

Cordero Harris had 22 points for Valley (18-11, 6-5), Terrence Tatum scored 14 and Keith Bowen had 12.

Virgin Valley 62, Mountain View 44 -- At Virgin Valley, Preston Guthrie scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Bulldogs over the Saints.

Terran Leavitt scored 11 points and Colton Bulloch 10 for Virgin Valley, which led 16-3 after one quarter.

Justyn Anderson paced Mountain View with 17 points.

Faith Lutheran 54, Moapa Valley 47 -- At Faith Lutheran, Diontea Wright had 10 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter as the Crusaders rallied to beat the Pirates.

Conner Maloney added 17 points for Faith Lutheran, which outscored Moapa Valley 19-11 in the fourth quarter.

Max Jenkins led the Pirates with 16 points, and Dustin Maletich added 13 points.
