Quayle, Utah State down UNR in OT

RENO -- Jared Quayle scored 21 points as Utah State outlasted UNR 79-72 in overtime Wednesday.

Quayle and Tyler Newbold each hit 3-pointers in overtime for the Aggies (12-6, 2-2 Western Athletic Conference). Pooh Williams added 16 points for Utah State.

Luke Babbitt had 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Wolf Pack (10-7, 2-2) lost for the first time in nine home games this season. Ray Kraemer added 14 points.

UNR led 65-55 with seven minutes to go in the second half after Babbitt scored in the lane. Utah State had a 14-4 scoring edge for the rest of regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 69.

The Wolf Pack needed a layup by Armon Johnson with 35 seconds left to force overtime.
