Randle guides Cal past UNR

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Jerome Randle scored 23 points and Patrick Christopher 16 as California overcame a sloppy first half to defeat UNR 75-66 on Saturday.

Jamal Boykin and Theo Robertson added 10 points each for the Bears (8-2), who missed 13 of their first 19 shots.

Randle's 3-pointer midway through the second half capped a 13-4 spurt that gave Cal a 44-38 lead.

UNR's Armon Johnson scored 27 of his career-high 33 points during the second half, including 13 in the final 2:26.

The Wolfpack (6-5) hasn't won at Berkeley since the 1983-84 season.
