Here are the National Finals Rodeo first performance results from Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018.
The National Finals Rodeo started its annual 10-day run at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday.
On opening night at the NFR, Mason Clements drew a horse named Colorado Bulldog and rode him to a score of 86.5 points. He finished second in the go-round and earned $26,230.77.
FGL has opened its extended engagement at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. The first two shows have reportedly sold out, including Wednesday’s performance, which Hubbard said was played to “the loudest Wednesday night crowd ever.”
When the sun goes down, the lights turn up for what the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo appropriately terms NFR After Dark. And while those lights certainly shine bright at viewing parties, after-parties and concerts up and down the Strip, there are plenty of great gatherings all around town.
Despite selling out all 10 nights every year since 1987, there’s been no resting on laurels among all those with any involvement in the Wrangler NFR.

The world’s best cowboys and cowgirls will congregate in Las Vegas for the 60th annual National Finals Rodeo, which runs from Thursday to Dec. 15 at the Thomas Mack Center.
The mobile app is now in its eighth version, relaunched in October with new and enhanced features to help fans streamline the 10-day experience.
“Following the NFL’s lead, along with other professional and collegiate programs, we believe it is prudent to implement the clear-bag policy,” said Las Vegas Events President Pat Christenson.
One of the top NFR contestants is arguably the greatest cowboy to ever put on a pair of boots. And his brother-in-law, 14 years his junior, is the other top contestant.

The LVCVA officially forecasts 170,750 attendees for the 2018 NFR, but that just covers the full house at the Thomas Mack for 10 performances. The conservative economic impact estimate is $113 million.
