Round Rock rally foils 51s on road
Round Rock broke a tie by scoring twice in the seventh inning and gained a 4-2 win over the 51s in the Pacific Coast League on Sunday at Round Rock, Texas.
With two outs, Las Vegas reliever Jim Hoey (0-3) gave up three hits and a walk, including RBI singles by Joey Butler and Ryan Spilborghs.
51s starter Bill Murphy exited after six innings with the scored tied at 2. He allowed seven hits and both runs, struck out five and walked three. Luke Hughes had two of the 51s' five hits.
Las Vegas (64-51) and Round Rock (52-64) play the second game of their four-game series at 5:05 p.m. today.
