Sacramento features two of Oakland's top 10 prospects in left fielder Chris Carter (No. 2) and infielder Jemile Weeks (No. 5), brother of Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks. Carter, a former standout at Sierra Vista High School, is batting .173 (9-for-52) with two home runs and 13 RBIs in 14 games. Third baseman Brett Lawrie leads Las Vegas in hitting and is fourth in the Pacific Coast League with a .407 average. Lawrie, Toronto's No. 2 prospect, also leads the 51s with four homers and five steals and has 12 RBIs. First baseman David Cooper is second on the squad in batting and sixth in the PCL with a .395 average and leads the team in RBIs with 19. Outfielders Scott Podsednik and DeWayne Wise were promoted to Las Vegas from Single-A Dunedin (Fla.). The 51s also will host the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, from Monday through May 5. Outfielder Wily Mo Pena leads the Aces in hitting (.390), homers (six) and RBIs (22).
