Sixth-inning uprising, stellar pitching lift 51s

Mike Jacobs had a home run and four RBIs, and Shawn Hill pitched six shutout innings Saturday night as the 51s downed the Portland Beavers 9-1 in a Pacific Coast League game in Portland, Ore.
Hill (2-2) held the Beavers (57-85) to two hits and two walks and struck out four as Las Vegas (66-76) notched its fourth victory in its past five games at PGE Park.
51s reliever Steven Register gave up a run on two hits in the seventh inning, and Willie Collazo pitched two perfect innings to cap the four-hitter.
Jacobs finished 2-for-4 with a three-run homer that highlighted the 51s' five-run sixth inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
Manny Mayorson had three hits, two runs and a stolen base, and Aaron Mathews added two hits and two RBIs for Las Vegas, which totaled 15 hits and left 13 runners on base.
Simon Castro (0-1) started for Portland and gave up six runs on nine hits and four walks in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four.
Mike Baxter went 2-for-4 with a double for the Beavers, and Craig Stansberry drove in their run with an RBI single in the seventh.
