Sky Sox duo hammers 51s

Seth Smith and Jolbert Cabrera each went 5-for-6 with four RBIs in leading the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to a 13-3 win over the 51s in a Pacific Coast League game Friday night in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Smith hit for the cycle and then added another home run, a three-run shot, and Cabrera had a homer and two doubles.

Chris Iannetta went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Sky Sox (64-63), who held a 19-10 advantage in hits and a 10-1 edge in extra-base hits.

Wilson Valdez went 3-for-5 for Las Vegas (58-69), and Luis Maza was 2-for-4 with a double.

Tim Harikkala (2-0) earned the win after giving up three runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings. Loser Spike Lundberg (6-5) allowed eight runs on 11 hits and three walks in three innings.

The 51s play in Portland, Ore., at 7:05 tonight in the first game of a four-game series against the Beavers.
