Sky Sox’s big rally dooms 51s

Matt Miller's two-out, three-run double highlighted Colorado Springs' eight-run eighth inning Friday night as the Sky Sox rallied for an 11-9 Pacific Coast League win over the 51s in Colorado Springs, Colo.

After Miller's double tied the score at 9, Matt Murton hit an RBI double and Daniel Ortmeier an RBI single to cap the scoring for the Sky Sox (35-25).

Randy Ruiz had a homer and three RBIs for Las Vegas (24-37), which scored four in the eighth to go up 9-3. Aaron Mathews and Angel Sanchez each hit his first homer of the year for the 51s in the eighth.

Las Vegas pitchers issued nine walks, including three with the bases loaded.
