Cortney Jordan’s spirit is contagious. It is limitless. The 21-year-old Coronado High School graduate has qualified to swim in a second Paralympic Games and will be among those favored in London this summer to stand on a podium and have a gold medal slipped around her neck.
I don’t know why anyone is surprised. It’s like waking up on Dec. 25 and wondering where all those presents came from, like a wife reacting with shock that flowers arrive on Feb. 14.
